A man runs to the bar for help after shooting near the city center

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating a shooting they say occurred in a parking lot near downtown belonging to the Alamo College District.

The victim showed up at a nearby bar around 1:30 a.m. Monday, seeking help for a gunshot wound to his leg.

Although police found him at Heat Nightclub, located in the 1500 block of N. Main, he told them he was shot in the parking lot near W. Park Avenue and N. Main.

The victim told them that three men dressed in all black and wearing face masks approached him inside the garage and one of them shot him.

Officers said the shooting may have been from a robbery. However, they did not say what, if anything, was taken.

The victim was rushed to hospital for treatment and is expected to be fine.

The filming location is about a block from San Antonio College, which is part of the Alamo College District.

A CDA spokesperson said there is some kind of joint use agreement with the parking lot and the shooting happened in a section that is not used by SAC.
