Bar sales increased year-over-year in September

According to the Retail Sales Index report for September 2022 (provisional) and August 2022 (final) from the Central Statistics Office (CSO), the volume of sales in bars increased, year on year. other, in September 2022.

The report, which was published on CSO.ie, says there was a 7.5% annual increase in bar sales volume in September 2022.

While bar sales volume increased, year-over-year, in September this year it was 16.0% lower than sales volume recorded for pre-pandemic February 2020, according to the CSO.

At the same time, there was a 13.3% annual decline in the volume of sales of food, beverages and tobacco (specialty store) in September 2022, as well as a monthly decline of 7.2% in the volume of sales of food, beverages and tobacco (specialty store) in the ninth month of this year, according to data from the CSO.
