The Department of Trade and Investment (DCI) wishes to inform the public of the hours of operation for liquor license holders.
According to DCI, as of today (Friday, December 31, 2021 (New Years Eve), the rules below apply to Grand Cayman liquor licensees.
DCI said that, until further notice, retail bars are allowed to open until 2 a.m. on Friday nights only, with alcohol sales ending at 1.50 a.m.
DCI said that (until further notice), also only on Friday nights, retail nightclubs can operate until 4 a.m., although sales are to end at 3:50 a.m.
Nightclubs may also be open from 12:01 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022, a New Year’s holiday.
Hours from Saturday to Thursday
DCI said that in future all bars and nightclubs were to close at midnight from Saturday to Thursday.
DCI reminded members of the public that in all cases the assembly limits are 100 people indoors and 250 people outdoors and that the rules will be strictly enforced.
Reminder of license conditions
DCI also reminds licensees to adhere to all other terms and conditions of their licenses.
