Diana Ross, Jerry Seinfeld, Ringo Starr headline casinos in Atlantic City, Philadelphia and Bethlehem – full list

To be fair, the lineup of casino entertainment that will wrap up 2022 is a little thin. While there are certainly a slew of big names heading to Atlantic City and southeastern Pennsylvania gambling halls, the roster of talent isn’t on par with years past. (pre-COVID). This is surprising because historically, fall has been a major season for headliner entertainment. But in terms of the number and quality of bookings, the schedule is more like that of past winters.

Nonetheless, the scope of offerings certainly covers a wide range of shows, with several generations of acts booked for the last four months of the year.

The full list (as of today, more shows are sure to be announced) is below. But here are some particularly noteworthy reservations:

Ringo Starr and His All-Starr Band (September 24; Hard Rock Hotel Casino Atlantic City):

Any visit from an ex-Beatle is cause for celebration. And in terms of star power (Starr?) and pop culture dominance, Ringo certainly sits atop the heap of fall casino headliners. The current iteration of his All-Star Group understand Colin Hay (Men at work), veteran rocker Edgar Winter and guitar heroes Steve Lukather (toto; Bee Gees).

Diana Ross (September 9; Ocean Casino-Resort): She’s been an A-plus-lister for almost 60 years and, at 78, it wouldn’t be surprising if this was her last local visit. Unlike so many artists of a certain vintage, “Miss Ross” still comes off as a contemporary act: she’s coming to Ocean as part of a tour promoting her late-2021 album, “Thank You,” which presents contributions, among others, Jack Antonoffwho produced and wrote for such aware topping the charts as Taylor Swift, Olivia Rodrigue and Pink.

Jon Dorenbos (October 1; Live! Casino Hotel Philadelphia): The former Eagles player turned host/motivational speaker is bringing his popular magic-focused program back to the area.

Jeremy Piven (October 8; Rivers Casino Philadelphia): The Emmy-winning actor (Surroundings) is bringing their live number to the Fishtown Game Room.

Nurse Blake (October 21 and 29; Borgata): Nurse Blake (real name Blake Lynch) is yet another live attraction that has become popular on the internet. A qualified nurse, his act is drawn from his professional experiences.

Tribute to David Bowie (October 29; Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City):

A collection of veteran rockers including Todd Rundgren and Adrian Belew (King Crimson, Bowie) come together to pay homage to the late British megastar’s revered songwriting canon.

Ruben Studdard sings Luther Vandross (October 29; Hard Rock):

The american idol The Season 2 Champion pays tribute to the late R&B crooner in Slot City on the same night as the Bowie tribute at Harrah’s. It’s a great coincidence: before becoming a megastar, Vandross sang back-up to the iconic Bowie. Young Americans album.

Sebastian Maniscalco (November 4-13)/Jerry Seinfeld (December 10; both at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa):

Two of the greatest stand-up comedy acts of all time have hit the Big B, which has been their home in Atlantic City for years. Seinfeld is booked for a one-night stand, but, as has been its custom for the middle of the last decade, Maniscalco is hosting multiple performances (10, to be exact).

Michael Franzese—A Mob Story (November 19; Resorts Casino Resort):

Franzese, who was a caporegime in the Colombo crime family in New York, has gained enormous success with his series of YouTube videos in which he discusses his life and the portrayal of the Mafia in the media.

Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Party (November 26; Hard Rock):

Tribute bands are no longer a novelty, but this one has a credibility that most such bands could never claim: Jason Bonhamis late dad, John (aka “Bonzo”) was the drummer for Led Zep (Jason also plays the skins).

Flo Rida (November 26; Ocean): Hip-hop is barely on the casino schedule this fall, but pop rapper “Low” will be planting the flag at the east end of the boardwalk.
