EastEnders has chosen former Emmerdale and Holby City star Patsy Kensit.
The actress is set to play Lola Pearce’s mother, according to The Sun, and she should have a short stint on the soap.
Her scenes are set to air around Christmas, with filming slated for later this month.

Kensit previously appeared on Emmerdale as Sadie King, a role she played for two years from 2004 to 2006.
She was also part of Holby City from 2007 to 2019, where she played the character Faye Morton.
EastEnders did not respond when digital spy contacted to comment on this news.
Lola recently received the devastating news that her cancer is terminal and that the emergency surgery she underwent failed to completely remove her fast-growing brain tumor.
In emotional scenes that unfolded on Thursday (November 3), Lola found there was nothing that could be done to save her.

“We can try to slow down regrowth with additional treatments, but I have to be clear, it’s not curable,” explained her doctor.
Danielle Harold, who plays Lola on the show, spoke of the “humiliating experience” of filming this difficult story.
In an interview with Inside Soap, she said: “I’m so glad this story is getting done, because it didn’t have any time previously dedicated to the soap opera.
“It’s good to highlight this when there is so little funding for brain tumor research in the UK. Other countries have developed more than us; I hope it raises awareness and good.”
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show is also streaming on BBC iPlayer.
