Labyrinth nightclub and Botanic cocktail bar to open on New Street in Worcester

The OPENING date for the downtown nightclub has been revealed along with plans for its launch event.

Partygoers will have a new place to party in Worcester – Labyrinth Nightclub in New Street, Worcester.

It opens in the former Alexander’s nightclub and will include two club rooms, four bars and two DJs.

The neighboring Tiki Room is about to be transformed into a cocktail bar called Botanic and work is underway on the transformation.

Labyrinth Nightclub will launch on Friday August 12 and Saturday August 13 and claims to be a “destination venue” that will “bring the latest concepts in the clubbing experience in style”.

Clubbers will be able to enter the venue from 9:30 p.m. and it is stated that it will remain open until “early morning”.

Labyrinth and Botanic are owned by Epic Bars and Clubs, which took over the former Alexander’s nightclub.

According to Nick Martindale of Epic Bars and Clubs, Botanic will feature “luxurious VIP cabins, high tables, great cocktails, its own DJs and entertainment”, with the new Labyrinth nightclub playing house and R&B music in its main room. with cheesy pop and party music in a second room.

The new nightclub is currently looking for staff, including bar staff, VIP hosts, locker room attendants and promotion staff.

Alexander’s closed in May and has stood empty ever since.

Epic Bars Worcester’s planning application to the City Council proposed a number of changes to the nightclub, including the construction of a handful of new bars, the addition of additional cubicles and the installation of new toilets.

Epic Bars and Clubs, based in Cheltenham, run nightclubs and bars across the country, including Trilogy nightclubs in Blackpool, High Wycombe, Warrington and Southampton, Labyrinth nightclubs in Bath and Windsor, Home and Botanic in Cheltenham and Botanic Bar in High Wycombe.

The owners of Alexander’s said the nightclub last opened in May after the venue was sold.

A statement on the club’s Facebook said: “The venue has now been handed over to a national bar and nightclub company who have fantastic plans to turn the venue into one of their exciting new venues.

“The years and memories we shared will never be forgotten.

“Thank you to everyone who joined us on the journey and we hope the best for you in the future.

“Keep your eyes peeled because something special is coming to Worcester soon.”
