Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne teamed up with Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk in Ibiza for a night of clubbing on Friday night, a video on social media shows.
The Premier League icons are enjoying their time off after another relentless title race last season.
It was Manchester City who ultimately prevailed, claiming a dramatic victory on the final day to clinch their fourth title in the past five seasons.
Nonetheless, Virgil Van Dijk and the rest of his Liverpool team-mates will certainly be proud of their push, narrowly missing Pep Guardiola’s side by just one point.
With the new season around a month away and the first on-pitch clash between the pair at the end of this month, they have made the most of their final days away from football.
This week, Van Dijk and De Bruyne met in Ibiza to enjoy the party life rather than rest and recuperation.
On Friday night, the pair were spotted partying at one of Ibiza’s top nightclubs, Ushuaia.
Manchester City players are set to return to pre-season training around July 11, with Kevin De Bruyne expected to be among those to return first.
Pep Guardiola’s side will then fly to the United States for a pre-season tour of the country, where two matches await the Premier League champions.
In the first match, City are set to face Mexican side Club America.
Next, it’s Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich who will pose a stern test for the Premier League side.
Kevin De Bruyne and Virgil Van Dijk will next face off on the pitch at the end of the month, as Manchester City and Liverpool face off in the Community Shield at the King Power Stadium.
For the Belgian maestro, he will no doubt be looking forward to reuniting with many of his new Manchester City team-mates in pre-season as well.
Erling Haaland will likely be City’s main attacking point next season, and many expect the pair to flourish in a new attacking partnership for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Etihad officials are also expected to welcome Kalvin Phillips to the club this week, after the Englishman completed a £42m move from Leeds United on Friday afternoon.
Phillips is set to become the club’s fourth signing of the summer window after Haaland, River Plate’s Julian Alvarez and Stefan Ortega on a free transfer from Arminia Bielefeld.
