Some of the best places around Perth to have a drink with the girls

Lyrics by Alexandra Casey.

If you love a night on the town with “The Girls” and don’t mind a cheeky cocktail party, you’ve come to the right place. For a night out with good friends, groovy vibes and of course, good wine, we’ve compiled a list of the best places to grab a drink in Perth:

Sweetwater Rooftop Bar

It’s a deadly duo that’s hard to match, with divine rooftop dining and killer cocktails. Based in East Fremantle, Sweetwater is a laid-back garden bar with an Asian-inspired menu that’s perfect for a girls’ cocktail party. The relaxed setting and groovy furnishings will make you feel like you’re on vacation! Do yourself a favor and head to happy hour to get your hands on $12 cocktails and plates. And you’ll want to try their signature “Lost in the Clouds” beer, which fuses vodka, malibu, pineapple and coconut foam.

Level 6/1 Silas Street, East Fremantle

The Lido

Perched on the scenic shores of Cottesloe Beach and housed in what was once an art-deco seaside cabaret venue, is an Italian espresso bar and restaurant that should be on your drink list. Inspired by the ocean landscape, “Il Lido” translates to “the beach”. Why not wine and dine, because who doesn’t fancy a bit of vino with their pasta and a tasty view too?

88 Marine Parade, Cottesloe

The shack

If La Cabana is where you’re headed, you’re not just going to want to stop for a drink! If you’re looking for coastal Western Australian Mexican food, this South Freo joint is the place to be! Think margaritas, Iced Tea-Quila, Bloody Maria or Native Negroni! And then pair it with their famous fish tacos, ceviche or a damn good guac.

400 South Terrace, South Fremantle

Pep’s Wine Bar

Pep’s is a neighborhood wine bar whose design encompasses beautiful exposed brick walls and wooden floors, while the wine list features beers made with minimal intervention and reduced additives. You won’t need a pep talk to book a table here!

492 Stirling Highway, Peppermint Grove

Hadiqa

With a friendly menu with Moroccan, Mediterranean and Greek flavors, Hadiqa will transport you to faraway places. The name of the rooftop restaurant and bar means ‘garden’ in Arabic, so it’s only fitting that the space is infused with the greenery of a Middle Eastern oasis – a welcome contrast to the concrete jungle of the Perth CBD. There is a tasty range of alcoholic, non-alcoholic and low-alcohol drinks. And you might even enjoy visiting belly dancers and snake trainers! The menu is full of goodies, so you’ll want to go hungry! Think Moroccan chicken, fish from the market with spicy romesco, piquillo peppers and sumac congo crisps, roasted eggplant with miso and fetta and chocolate baklava!

Hibernian Place, Top Floor, Cnr Hay Street, 40 Irwin St, Perth

If Paradiso

For a nightclub, bar and restaurant all rolled into one, Si Paradiso is where you’re headed. Some come for the modern Italian culinary delights (with flavor influences from France and Mexico), while others prefer to hit the dance floor and soak up the atmosphere. It’s a place of delicious drinks, scrumptious food and live music. Magnificent parasols, lush greenery, parquet floors, mosaics and stained glass!

It’s like choosing your own adventure books, you can park in the dining room for the full experience or relax in the laid back courtyard amphitheater, and we know you’ll end up on the dance floor . As for cocktails, try the Apricot Sipper or the Limoncello Spritz.

1/446 Beaufort Street, Highgate

SKOL

“Skol” is a term used to express friendly feelings towards mates before drinking, and as the name suggests, Skol is a slice of Scandi in Scarborough, a laid-back neighborhood bar. The Northern European-inspired menu focuses on sustainability and seasonality, offering a repertoire of plates to share. The drinks menu includes signature cocktails, six rotating craft beers, and local and international wines.

35 Ewen Street, Scarborough

Hotel Raffles

Raise your glass to the end of the week with a wonderful backdrop of the Swan River. The drink menu features favorites from the Southwest, as well as divine beers from around the country. Whether you’re on sparkling, white, pink or red, they’ve got you sorted. The menu offers a modern Italian twist on pub classics – you absolutely can’t go past the pizza! Happy Hour is every Monday to Friday, 5-6pm, or why not round up the gang for Flashback Friday and tear up the d-floor with all the biggest tuners of the 70s, 80s and 90s.

70-72 Canning Beach Road, Applecross

Roof at QT

Think the 18th floor rooftop bar, picture-perfect sunsets, twinkling city lights, CBD views, and gorgeous cocktails. Invite the girls over for a night at the QT Hotel and indulge in the rooftop bites menu that includes a deluxe cheese plate, Italian olives, corn and jalapeno mozzarella arancini, mini – shrimp burgers and truffle fries – yum!

Beach Club at the Cottesloe Beach Hotel

It is the ideal place for a balmy summer evening after a day spent in the sun. If you like an on-trend aesthetic, the sophisticated space is outfitted with striped umbrellas, white furniture, terraces, and on-trend yellow tiling, giving off that vacation vibe. The menu is entirely fresh and local and pairs perfectly with a cocktail from the Mixology cocktail bar. If you’re feeling peckish, the dishes on offer include fish tacos, shucked oysters, Balinese-spiced chicken breast, crab pasta, and pizza, to name a few!

104 Marine Pde, Cottesloe

Cave

There are several reasons why we love El Grotto, one of which is their Spicy Marg and the second is their tacos! Turn on the group chat for a night of Mexican fun by the beach. Think quesadillas, seafood ceviche, burritos and tostadas, accompanied by a Mexican Standoff or Bloody Maria, and a cheeky dance floor later if the mood takes you.

Boutique 5/148 The Esplanade, Scarborough

quarter acre

With an ever-changing selection of WA beers, wines and spirits, Quarter Acre is a neighborhood pub with the most groovy vibe. The cocktail menu offers everything from the Aperol Spritz to the Espresso Martini. We love the Pink Gin Sour and Strawberry Fields! Head in on a Monday for their $20 burger and beer (or wine) deal, or the $30 nachos and carafe of wine on Tuesday, or head out on the weekend with a Sunday session and drink specials from 5 p.m.

767 Canning Hwy, Applecross

The shore house

Known for its Instagram-worthy yellow and white striped umbrellas, groovy white furnishings and spectacular sea views, The Shorehouse is a stone’s throw from Cottesloe Beach. And we love their cocktails! For something fruity and refreshing, try Frosty Fruit or Sunset Reviver.
