The Weeknd’s Nightmare Bar and other deadly concoctions coming this season – Redlands Daily Facts

Universal Studios Hollywood has unveiled some terrifically fun new menu items that will be available to guests at its annual Halloween Horror Nights event, which kicks off Thursday, September 8 and runs select nights through Monday, October 31.

If guests survive The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare’s “Blinding Lights” attraction, which is packed with imagery and music from the pop and R&B star’s “After Hours” album, they can enjoy a themed cocktail at the After Hours Nightmare bar. Set in a nightclub-style atmosphere, the bar will feature music videos and short films from The Weeknd on large screens. There will also be several cocktails named after tracks from the album as well as small bites like pizza fries.

Just outside the Killer Klowns from Outer Space attraction, fans can dine at the circus-themed Killer BBQ From Outer Space restaurant. The menu includes pulled pork sandwiches, loaded mac and cheese, 22-inch all-beef hot dogs, loaded nachos, funnel fries and ice cream treats from Jojo’s Ice Cream including Killer Kone, a Ruijing Popkorn Shake and an Acid Pie Shake.

In Plaza de los Muertos, which occupies Universal Plaza on the upper lot, there will be two bars serving a range of craft cocktails. The Dia de Los Muertos bar will offer Calavera juice, sugar skull punch and smoky margaritas served in bright skull cups. The Margarita Bar will offer drinks including Spicy Strawberry Vodka Margarita and Muerte Margarita. The Little Cocina will sell beef birria tacos with red sauce, cheese tamales, esquites, churro bites, chamoy pineapple spears and more.

There’s also a fun sugar skull popcorn bucket that includes free popcorn refills available at the Palace Café, Studio Café, and in the lower and upper lot carts.

Tickets cost between $72 and $102 for general admission; $179 to $289 Universal Express; $219 to $329 Universal Express Unlimited; $112 to $154 after 2 p.m.; day/night pass; RIP tour from $319 to $449; $199 Frequent Fear Pass; $329 Ultimate Fear Pass. All passes are available at universalstudioshollywood.com.
